Getting started with the EAPLS Mailing list

Join the mailing list by sending a message to

jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk

containing the following line:

join eapls <yourfirstname> <yourlastname>

for example

join eapls Bill Clinton

You will receive a message from the administrator and, from then on, you will receive all messages sent to the list. You can also participate in the discussion by e-mailing your contribution (remark, criticism, proposal, question, etc.) to

eapls@jiscmail.ac.uk

Note that (to avoid SPAM (junk email)) only members can email to the above list (and even then only from the same 'From:' address as they joined from). To change your registered address it is simplest to 'join eapls' from your new address and then 'leave eapls' from your old address. You can also do this at the JISCMAIL web site.

Advanced use

JISCMAIL provides a variety of services. You can, for instance, retrieve all previous messages that have been sent to the mailing list or see a list of all participants. See the JISCMAIL documentation for further details.
